In the years since we first started the Crucible of War website, we have received numerous postings from people who are looking for long lost relatives, friends, or colleagues in or originally from one of the countries of former Yugoslavia. Some of these are from members of the vast x-Yugo diaspora. Others are from peacekeepers and aid workers who have now moved on to other parts of the globe, but never forgot their time in the Balkans and want to renew their friendshops and contacts.
If you are looking for someone, please post in the comments for this thread.

I am searching for Masa Mehakovic who lived at 9 Dr Safeta Mujica (opposite Hotel Mostar) in Mostar twenty years ago. She had sister Alma and her mother's name was Dzehva. Masa should be now 42 years old. She used to go to Nova Gimnazija. This is a very dear friend from young days. Please if you know anything about Masa email to monah_kalist AT hotmail.com. Thanks.
I would like to get in contact with my host family in Dalj. Myself and an other Norwegian policeofficer stayed with the family during the period from March 1995 to sept. 1995. I haven’t had any contact with the family since 1997. The family was Branco Zelic, Jadranka Zelic and their two children, daughter Zvesdana and an elder boy, name forgotten. Best regards, Asbjørn Olsen 4920 Staubø Norway

Are there still Oreskovich families living in Coratia?
My name is Vedran Srdic. I am 22 years old, and live in Edmonton, Canada. I am from Banja Luka, Bosnia. I lived in the "Jajacka Ulica" street, and I am trying to find Asmir Hodzic, Dzenan Hodzic, and my neighbour Darmin, who left Banja Luka in the autumn of 1992.
Once again, anyone who remembers my name from childhood and reads this, please contact me. I want to get into touch with everyone I knew. I went to Braca Pavlic (later Ivo Andric school) and was taught by Smilja Dragojevic, with whom I started grade 1 in September 1991 in Banja Luka.
Anyone, everyone, please write to me at jadran84@hotmail.com.
Pozdrav svima
Vedran Srdic
